Relief Efforts 2017
Summary and Results:


1. Beautiful Feet

September 24th - 30th

- Distribute food, debris clean up

- Airport outreach/relief to people waiting to leave the island

- Gave away pampers, food, water and money 

Locations: Playita, Santurce, Airport, Cayey, Hogar Amparo (Shelter), CTC (Assemblies of God Council Headquarters), Old San Juan, Bayamón

2. New Life Church (Team 1, Chicago)

October 4th - 11th

- Distribute food and water.

- Debris and mud clean up.

- Church and house restoration

- Handed out tarps, water filters and solar lamps

- Worked at our Distribution Center

3. New Life Church (Team 2, Chicago)

October 12th - 19th

- Food and water distribution

- Mud and debris clean up

4. Pastor Osvaldo Rodriguez (New York City)

- Food and water distribution

5. Brandon & Joshua

October 12th - 19th

- Installed water filters

- Removed debris with chainsaw

6. Pastor Davie (Team Boston)

October 20th – 26th

- Food distribution

- Mud and debris clean up

- Tarps

- Construction

7. Sam’s Medical Clinic (USA)

October 19th - 23rd

- Two Shelters (Hogar Amparo, Casa Rosa) = 61 patients

- Toa Baja Clinic = 10 patients and Mobil Clinic with 40 patients

- Medical Clinic in Utuado = 84 patients

Locations: Santurce, San Juan, Toa Baja, Utuado

Total of Volunteers:  16 (3 Doctors, 2 Administrators and 11 Nurses)


8. CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network)

October 24th -27th

- They interviewed staff and published news about the devastation brought by Hurricane Maria. Published articles about Connected Life's Relief Team and Pastor.

- They have also made a donation.

9. City Reach Church (Philadelphia)

October 30th – November 2nd 

- Mud and debris clean up

- Handed out tarps

Locations: Bayamón, Toa Baja


10. Vertical Church

October 30th – November 1st

- Full tarps in three different churches

Locations: Canóvanas, Guayama


11. Homeland Security with

Pastor Wilfredo De Jesús (Chicago)

- Escorted $20,000 worth of medicine to Bayamon’s Central Medical Center.

Distributed to Chief of Staff

- Gave away 200 pairs of shoes

Locations: Bayamón, Arroyo, Guayama

12. AOTK - Army Of The Kind
(Team 3, Chicago)

October 31th 

- Food and water distribution

- Restoration of a house

- Church painting

- Visit Elderly Home and give out food, water and hygiene packs

13. Cornerstone Church

November 3th – 6th 

- Visit to do Advance Team

15. Muslim Couple

- Food and water distribution

16. AOTK - Medical Clinic (Team 4, Chicago)

November 8th

- Over 500 patients

- Set up three free medical clinics in different locations and gave away medicine

Locations:  Orocovis, Toa Baja, Arecibo

17. CCF (New York)

November 6th - 11th

- Distribute food and water.

- Debris and mud clean up.

- Church restoration (wood roof)

- Gave away a generator

Locations: Canóvanas, Arecibo, Toa Baja, Bayamón 

Total of Volunteers: 8


18. SED (New York)

November 13th

- They brought in six containers

- Food, water and clothes distribution

- Clean up

- Tarps for three different churches

- Gave away at least $4,000 to Pastors in need

- Visited Rehab Center

Locations: Bayamón, Toa Baja, Añasco, Yauco, Canovanas

Total of Volunteers: 18

 

19. Adjuntas Thanksgiving Outreach

November 22nd

- Gave away 150 turkeys = food for 500 people

- Gave away groceries to 500 people

- Gave away 150 turkeys to 11 Presbyters.

- Total of 300 turkeys given away that weekend

20. Cross Walk Church / Hope 21 Ministries

November 30th

- Installed water filters

Locations: Salinas, Trujillo Alto, Utuado

Total of Volunteers: 8


21. United for PR (Bronx, New York)

December 1st – 10th

- Food and water distribution (500+)

- 4 tarps (2 homes had mayor repairs done)

- Cleaning: 5 houses, 1 basketball field

- Medical home visits: 53

- Red Cross info taken: 60+

- Gave away 17 gift cards of $30

Locations: Salinas, Aguadilla, Barranquitas, Rincón, Bayamón, Toa Baja

Total of Volunteers: 25 (1 Doctor)


22. AOTK - Medical Clinic

November 29th – December 6th

- Total of 518 Patients seen and attended

Locations:  Fajardo, Salinas


23. Journey Church (Texas)

December 1st

- Distribute food and water.

- Clean up

Locations: Salinas, Barranquitas, Aguadilla

Total of Volunteers: 6


24. North Place Church

December 12th

- Construction

- Restoration of a roof in a church

Locations: Arroyo

Total of Volunteers: 6

Christmas Parties

- Four Christmas Parties for children together with New Life Covenant Church, Chicago: Añasco, Fajardo, Toa Baja, and Escuela Manuel Boada in Barrio Obrero, San Juan
- 1,000 gifts: 250 in each location

Sound Systems

- New sound system and $3,000 of reconstruction for devastated church in San Germán together with NLC and Gulf Latin AG district
- New sound system and 51 chairs for devastated church in Arecibo

Gift Cards

- 100 gift cards of $50 from Sam's Club and Home Depot distributed to 107 families
- $250 Love Offering to a Pastor in Toa Baja

Over 1,000,000 rations of food and water served together with Convoy of Hope.

Over 200 volunteers on the ground.
